This is based on a lecture from Prof. Richard McCulloch and documents contrast two major species of kinetoplastid parasites, Trypanosoma cruzi and Trypanosoma brucei, which cause Chagas disease and African trypanosomiasis, respectively. While both are single-celled eukaryotes, they utilise distinct transmission methods and survival strategies.
